The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) condoles the sad demise of CA. Rameshwar Thakur, Past President, ICAI on January 15, 2015. Shri Thakur had served the Institute as President during the year 1966-67. He was an active member of the profession widely known for his core simplicity, spontaneity and forthrightness. He was a strong proponent of ethics in the profession. His vision & guidance would always remain a great source of inspiration for CA profession.

Freedom Fighter Shri Rameshwar Thakur was the former Union Minister of India and a great visionary.He served the nation with his dedication and multi faceted personality and held responsible positions in public life like Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.

The void created by his passing away would always be felt.
